Selected Works of Hu Jintao

Selected Works of Hu Jintao was edited by the Literature Editorial Committee of the Central Committee of the CPC and published by Central Publishing House in September 2016, as 3volumes. The Chinese version includes totally 242 manuscripts of him between June 1988 and November 2012. Vol. 1 covers 74 articles between June 1988 and September 2002. Vol. 2 covers 82 articles between December 2002 and October 2007. Vol. 3 covers 86 articles between December 2007 and November 2012. These manuscripts include reports, speeches, talks, articles, letters, instructions, etc.

The Selected Works of Hu Jintao vividly recorded the historical process of the central collective leadership of the CPC with General Secretary Hu Jintao at the core, during the ten years after the 16th National Congress of the Communist Party, the precious experience of relying on people so as to overcome a series of major challenges, promoting Reform and Opening-up, and achieving new major achievements in socialist modernization. The work reflects the major theoretical achievements of the CPC, which insist on combining the basic principles of Marxism with the reality of contemporary China and the characteristics of the times, and comprehensively demonstrates the historical process wherein the formation and development of scientific development concept was realized. Rich content of the Selected Works covers manuscripts on economic, political, cultural, social, ecological and other fields, including reform, development, stability, internal affairs, foreign affairs, national defense, Party, state and army administration, etc. It systematically expounds a series of important viewpoints of the scientific development concept. It further answered the questions of what is socialism, how to build it, what kind of a Party to build, and how to build it, and creatively answers the important questions of what kind of development to achieve and how to develop under the new situation.
