Selected Documents of the CPC Central Committee

A large collection of important historical documents of the Party edited and published since the founding of New China. There are 18 volumes in total. It is the public copy edited by the Central Archives in accordance with the spirit of opening up the Party's historical archives in a systematic manner, which is approved by the CPC Central Committee on the basis of the original internal copy. The entire book was edited by the Central Archives, reviewed by the Central Documentary Research Office, and published by the Central Party School Press in 1992, under the care and guidance of the Party Central Committee and the Central Party History Work Leading Group.

This collection of nearly 8 million words contains resolutions, decisions, declarations, instructions, reports, summaries, circulars, notices, letters and telegrams made by the CPC Central Committee in various historical periods from July 1921 to September 30, 1949, covering various aspects of politics, military, economy and culture. The collection also includes some local reports, letters and telegrams to the Central Committee. Besides these, some of the decisions and telegrams of the Communist International on China are also included in the collection as annexes. 1-3 volumes contain documents on the founding of the CPC and the revolutionary period, 4-11 volumes contain documents on the Agrarian Revolutionary War, 12-14 volumes contain documents on the Anti-Japanese War, and 15-18 volumes contain documents on the Liberation War. The editor insisted on the scientific attitude of seeking truth from facts and respecting history, used historical originals as far as possible, added a large number of documents, and made detailed annotations.

The book reflects the lines, guidelines and policies of the CPC at various stages of history during the New-Democratic Revolution, as well as the important meetings, events and revolutionary activities of the CPC. It also provides systematic first-hand information for the study of modern Chinese history and the history of the CPC, as well as systematic and reliable historical materials for the domestic cadres and researchers teaching and studying the history of the Party and trying to understand the process of the Party's development.
