Stalin’s Thoughts on the Method of Leninism
Stalin pointed out that adherence to the principle of the uniting theory with practice is the essence and the foundation of the method of Leninism. It was this method that Lenin used to verify the “theories” of some of the Second International, pointing out that the policies of the national parties of the Second International should be tested not on the basis of the words of the revisionists of the Second International, but on the basis of their actions. He stressed the need to reorganize all party work in the spirit of educating and training the masses for revolutionary struggle, in accordance with the new revolutionary line. He demanded that the proletarian parties should be courageous in self-criticism and draw lessons from their own mistakes. Stalin pointed out that the Leninist method, based on and containing the above aspects, is not only a revival of the materialist dialectics, but also its concretization and further development.
