Fundamental Principles of Marxism-Leninism Have Never Been Changed, Several Conclusions Can Be Changed
On February 14, 1959, the excerpt of Mao Zedong's talk with the president of the Chilean newspaper Las Noticias de Última Hora (Breaking News), Arturo Matt Alessandri, which involves the basic understanding of Marxism, which is an important document for understanding Mao Zedong's view of Marxism. Mao Zedong believed that the basic principles of Marxism-Leninism have not changed so far, and individual conclusions can be changed: “Limited by the conditions at their times, it is probable that Marx and Lenin might make several inappropriate conclusions on individual issues.”
Mao Zedong emphasized that the Communist Party of China has always adhered to the principle of Marxism-Leninism, that the Chinese revolution has not departed from Marxism-Leninism, and that the change of specific strategies in the Chinese revolution is the unification of the universal truth and the specific situation of China.
