Stalin’s Thought Concerning the Ideological Source of Leninism
In response to various misconceptions about the ideological sources of Leninism, especially the misinterpretations of some Western scholars, Stalin elaborated on the ideological sources of Leninism. He emphasized that the ideological materials of Leninism were mainly derived from Marxism. Lenin developed Marx’s theory forward under the new conditions of class struggle, and he contributed to the general treasury of Marxism something newer than what Marx and Engels had provided, than what could be provided in the pre-imperialist capitalist period, and this new contribution of Lenin to the treasury of Marxism was based entirely on the principles provided by Marx and Engels.
