Edited by the Party Literature Research Department of the Central Committee of the CPC, and Leng Rong and Wang Zuoling as chief editors, published by the Central Literature Publishing House in July 2004. The whole book consists of 2 volumes with 1.2 million characters. Based on a large number of documents and archives, the Chronicle accurately describes the main activities of Deng Xiaoping in the 22 years between 1975 and 1997, reflecting Deng Xiaoping's great practice and decision-making role in presiding over the revolutionary work, when leading the works in the period of Reform and Opening-up, and promoting the socialist modernization construction.
