Strengthen the Party’s Leadership Over the United Front.

This policy is the core issue of the united front, whose basic content is to hold high the banner of patriotism and socialism, consolidate the ideological and political foundation of the united front, and correctly handle the relationship between unity and diversity; adhere to the principles of long-term coexistence, mutual oversight, sincerity and sharing the rough times and the smooth, and strengthen the cooperation with democratic Party members and non-Party personages in order to unite and work as one; implement the Party’s united front policy, and strive to unite the Chinese people at home and abroad to realize the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation.

Upholding the leadership of the Communist Party of China is the fundamental guarantee to ensure the development and consolidation of the United Front, correct direction, vigorous vitality, bright future and play its due role. The leadership of the Communist Party of China is the common choice of all the Chinese people, including all democratic parties, groups, nationalities, strata and people from all walks of life. It is the most essential feature of socialism with Chinese characteristics.

In the new historical period, although many changes have taken place in the nature, tasks and structure of the united front, the Party’s leadership can only be strengthened, and should not be weakened. Only in this way can we strengthen the unity and harmony among all parties, social groups , nationalities, social classes, and people from all walks of life, build a people-oriented, cohesive and inclusive united front, and continuously consolidate the broadest alliance of all socialist working people, all builders of the cause of socialism and all patriots who support socialism or all patriots who support the reunification of the motherland.
