All Socialist Working People

In contemporary China, all social strata who support and participate in the socialist modernization drive with their own abilities and qualities are included in the political category of all socialist working people. Among all social strata in contemporary China, the workers, peasants and intellectuals are the main part of “all socialist working people” category and they are the fundamental force in building socialism with Chinese characteristics, they have always promoted the development of China’s advanced productive forces, advanced culture as well as all-round social progress. Among the 3 groups workers that constitute the working class represent at the advanced productive forces, they are the main force in upholding and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics, and they create the social wealth.

Rural population of China accounts for a significant proportion of the national population, which is one of the basic national conditions of the country. Agricultural population accounts for a significant proportion of the national population, which is one of the basic national conditions of our country. Farmers are the basic strength of China's socialist modernization and since the launch of Reform and Opening-up, under the leadership of the Party, the vast number of farmers have made great achievements in rural reform and rural construction with their valuable entrepreneurial and innovative spirits, who have greatly contributed the development of the reform and construction of the whole country.

Thirdly, intellectuals are a component part of the working class in China, and they are those workers who have significant scientific and cultural knowledge and who are mainly engaged in mental work, they are the pioneers of advanced productive forces and constitute the basic force for the development of education, science and culture, consequently they play an irreplaceable role in the construction of socialist modernization and undertake great social responsibilities. The fact that science and technology have become the primary productive forces, is the concentrated embodiment and main mark of advanced productive forces, all of which determine the key and important role of intellectuals in economic development and social progress. As the important creators, inheritors and disseminators of humankind’s scientific and cultural knowledge, intellectuals are the new fresh forces that promote China's scientific and technological progress and economic development, they are the pioneers of advanced productive forces, and the backbone and core force in the construction of socialist spiritual civilization.
