Mao Zedong is the Main Founder of Mao Zedong Thought

Mao Zedong is the main founder of Mao Zedong Thought, and his scientific works are its concentrated summaries. The most important reason why Mao Zedong was able to make a particularly outstanding contribution to the cause of Sinicization of Marxism and why this Sinicized Marxist theory should be named after him is that at the beginning, he consciously adhered to the correct ideological direction. This is mainly manifested in the following aspects:

First of all, he had a painstaking spirit of study, extraordinary ability to comprehend, firm belief in Marxism, and paid attention to thinking in relation to the Chinese reality. Thus, he was able to grasp the scientific system of Marxism and its positions and methods completely and accurately, and with this as his guide, he profoundly summarized the experience of the Chinese revolution and construction and made many theoretical creative contributions.

Secondly, he penetrated into the actual struggle, contacted the masses closely, and focused on investigation and research. In order to correctly combine Marxism with the Chinese reality, he argued that the most important thing was to make a survey to the society. Only by systematically and thoroughly investigating and studying the historical situation and the reality of the issues in question could he discover the regularities in the processes and thus find their solutions. With this way of investigation, he was able to start from the actual situation, grasp the correct political direction, and make theoretical creations in the process of exploring the problems of Chinese revolution and construction.

Thirdly, he truly understood Chinese history and critically inherited the best legacy of ancient Chinese culture. As a revolutionary, thinker and warrior, he understood China's past in order to better understand China's present and foresee its future. By studying ancient Chinese literature and history, he furthered his understanding of Chinese society and the Chinese people; studied the history of the rise and fall of successive generations, summarized the experience of class struggle in ancient Chinese society, and studied the art of governing the country and the people; and, with the help of China's long history and culture, helped the Chinese people to build confidence in their own nation and in their own creative abilities, and to strengthen their optimistic belief in the future of China.

It was only on the basis of the collective struggle of the Chinese Communists and the masses of the people, and mainly through the efforts of Mao Zedong and his comrades-in-arms, that Marxism, a scientific worldview and a thorough social revolutionary theory, acquired Chinese characteristics, a national form through which to realize itself in China, and a fresh and lively Chinese style and a Chinese style that was well received by the Chinese people.
